Foundation Delays

Foundation Delivery Delay

Inspection passed. The sleeves for septic, well, and some electrical in. The gravel for the Superior Walls is all in. What are we waiting for?

Well, a crane, and smaller trucks.

Apparently someone missed something along the way and no one noted down that you couldn’t get a 53’ tracter trailer up the driveway to the house site. Superior Walls was ready to deliver, but the site inspector they sent out noted the above, and apparently it’s back to the drawing board trying to find a fleet of trucks at our specific dealer.

After another site visit, and some finagling of stuff, we might be in luck and have a solution, but we’re still 4 weeks behind schedule now on the foundation that was supposed to be a 1 day event.

Also, someone thought we needed a crane with 25’ out-riggers on each side. I think they mis-read the specs saying there needed to be 25’ total space to set up the crane. So that was a week wasted trying to convince people they way over engineered things.

So, that’s where we’re at. Footer Inspections was in July, it’s September, still no foundation. Hopefully soon…
